Massage treatments

  • Our 30-minute treatment focuses on addressing one or two specific issues, such as neck and shoulder tension, for a targeted and effective session.

  • Our 60-minute treatment offers a comprehensive approach, allowing for a full-body focus or extended time on specific areas of concern, tailored to your needs.

  • Designed for expectant mothers, our Pregnancy Remedial Massage (available in 30 or 60-minute sessions) targets common pregnancy-related discomforts. Treatments are performed with the client side-lying, using assorted pillows and bolsters for maximum comfort.

  • During a Shockwave Therapy session, we'll discuss previous appointments and outcomes before beginning the treatment. If time permits, we'll incorporate manual therapy to enhance the overall effectiveness of your session.

  • Remedial massage is used to locate and repair damaged areas of the body and

speed up the body’s own healing processes. The pressure applied in this healing

treatment can either be strong and deep or gentle and shallow, depending on the

    problem.

Problems with the muscles can trigger or radiate pain to other parts of the body.

Remedial massage aims to trace the original reason for the pain, tackling both the

cause of the problem and the symptoms.

The therapist will use a number of different techniques to locate and repair damaged

areas of the body. They will deeply penetrate muscles associated with the problem.

They might also stretch different parts of the body.

Remedial massage can stimulate the blood supply, make joints more mobile, and

help to repair damaged tissues. The therapist will aim to balance the length, tone

and tension of muscles and tendons, which restores the correct position of the

bones, increases blood flow and helps heal injuries.

  • Dry needling is a treatment technique whereby a sterile, single-use, fine filament

needle (acupuncture needle) is inserted into the muscle to assist with decreasing

pain and improving function through the release of myofascial trigger points (knots in

    muscle).

  • Dry needling is not the same as acupuncture, although there are similarities between

the two techniques. The main difference between dry needling and acupuncture is

the theory behind why the methods work. Dry needling’s primarily focused on the

reduction of pain and restoration of function through the release of myofascial trigger

points in the muscle. In comparison, acupuncture focuses on the treatment of

medical conditions by restoring the flow of energy (Qi) through critical points in the

    body (meridians) to restore balance.

  • Shockwave Therapy is an innovative cost-effective therapy that can target specific

pain in the bones, joints, muscles, tendons and ligaments. It’s a non-invasive and

safe treatment that gives significant or total relief of pain in 90% of patients suffering

    from musculoskeletal disorders.

  • One of the big benefits of Shockwave Therapy is that you can heal quickly as

shockwaves stimulate the body to heal itself. Shockwaves pass through the body

without breaking the skin, unlike an injection which can cause damage to the tissue

    treated over time.

Guided DolorClast® Therapy has been shown to be an effective treatment modality

for 90% of Musculoskeletal disorders including:

    – Plantar Fasciitis (heel pain)

    – Patella Tendinopathy

    – Hamstring Tendinopathy and Tears – Achilles Tendinopathy

    – Rotator Cuff Disorders

    – Trochanteric Bursitis and Gluteal Tendinopathy – Bone spurs

    – Heel spurs

    – Tennis elbow

    – Upper back pain

    – Lower back pain

    – Patella tip syndrome

    – Adhesive capsulitis

    – Golfer’s elbow.

An assessment by a professional health care practitioner is always necessary to

ensure you’re a candidate for Shockwave Therapy.

changes. With an understanding in these changes

Dave will be able to help you determine an outcome for your treatment. During the

treatment a varying number of different therapeutic techniques will be used in order

to reduce stress, pain and general discomfort associated with each trimester of

pregnancy. With appropriate bolsters to support the changing pregnant body on

hand, Dave is able to perform often much needed remedial treatment from the side

lying position to effectively support the body and alleviate pressure.

  • This technique is a deep dive into the assessment and treatment of joint related dysfunction, exploring both passive and active joint mobilisation techniques.

Joint mobilisation assists with the following.

    · Decreases joint pain.
    · Increases joint range of movement.
    · Increases non-noxious sensory output.
    · Decreases surrounding muscle tone.
    · Improves the body’s ability to sense movement and action.
    · Rhythmic nature of the technique improves the network of nerves that relaxes the body after periods of stress.
    · Bridges the gap between passive treatment and active rehabilitation.
    · Dramatically broadens the ability of soft tissue-based therapists to address more clinical presentations.

If you are interested in undergoing joint therapy, please ensure that you wear loose or comfortable clothing as this technique requires larger joints such as the shoulder or hip to be mobilised.
